Europe's largest land-based predator found on the Isle of Wight!

Did you know? The remains of Europe's (possibly the world's) largest ever land based predator dinosaur were found on the Isle of Wight recently?

At Education Destination we organise school residential trips here to the Isle of Wight, including dinosaur fossil hunting on the beach led by qualified paleontologists.

If your class topic is Dinosaurs or Fossils, there's no better destination for a school trip, so speak to us if you're interested in arranging a residential or even a day trip.

You never know, your group may make a discovery of their own!

Paleontologists at the University of Southampton identified the remains, which measured more than 32ft (10m) long and lived 125 million years ago. The prehistoric bones belonged to a two-legged, crocodile-faced, predatory spinosaurid dinosaur.
