Hand sanitising stations are provided at the equipment hut. Because the activity involves sharing harnesses and helmets, youngsters are encouraged to sanitise their hands before and after the session to maintain high standards of hygiene.
The course operates a "closed-toe" policy—no exceptions. Youngsters must follow the "always attached" rule using the continuous belay system. Instructors have the final say on safety; anyone not following the rules may be asked to stay on the ground.
In the event of an emergency or fire alarm, instructors will safely lower or guide youngsters down from the course. The primary assembly point is the main car park area, situated well away from the woodland and wooden structures.
All youngsters must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good grip (no sandals or slip-ons). Long hair must be tied back, and loose jewellery or hoodies with cords should be avoided. Comfortable trousers are recommended for wearing under climbing harnesses.
